I think almost every house in Oz had a pet budgie when I was growing up.

I named ours Ralf after my favourite Primary school teacher who really encouraged me to follow after my artistic and creative talents.

Ralphies favourite thing to do was to bounce excitedly in front of his mirror and check himself out as we crooned “who’s a pretty boy”...
